What is Fiber Beat? ~~
Fiber Beat is not your regular knitting podcast. In fact, it covers a range of crafts using the fiber medium, such as spinning, weaving, felting, dyeing, shepherding, & crocheting. You can expect interviews with designers, authors, farmers, & businesses. WonderMike, editor-in-chief and intrepid reporter presents instructional video podcasts as well as product reviews. If you have a story, you'd like to share, give WonderMike a shout on Ravelry or leave a comment in the show notes!

Sponsoring Fiber Beat ~~
Fiber Beat is now accepting sponsorship. If you'd like to underwrite the show, please contact WonderMike who can give you rates and options.

Production Assistance ~~
Fiber Beat is a labor of journalistic love that requires considerable preparation, both before and after the actual interview. We use various audio/computer equipment to record, edit and publish each episode of the show. Your donations make this work possible. Thank you very much!!!

Hello Fiber Beat friends and family,

I just received the latest issue of KnitCircus (Summer 2011) and I was so pleased to see my interview on page 59!!! Jaala Spiro (the Editor-in-Chief) did such a wonderful job with the interview and formatting. I couldn't be more chuffed.

If you're not familiar with KnitCircus, it's an independent online publication. I'll let Jaala tell you exactly about the publication (snipped from their FAQ):

Knitcircus is an independent online magazine; we publish quarterly and knit every day. Knitcircus features knitting and sewing patterns, interviews, articles, and reviews, with an eco- and socially-responsible bent. Check out the interviews, reviews, articles, recipes and pattern previews for free! If you like what you see, the pattern collection is available for purchase while that issue’s live.

Go check them and out and support this wonderful publication! Oh, and be sure to check out the excellent interviews with Kieran Foley of knit/lab and Sharon McMahon of Three Irish Girls.
